By using this website or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms. Read them carefully — they include important disclosures about our licensing, your work, and how we handle disputes.
1. About Gold Coast Home Services
Gold Coast Home Services ("Gold Coast," "we," "us," "our") is an insured home services and property maintenance provider based in Santa Paula, CA, serving Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. We are not currently a CSLB-licensed contractor. Work that legally requires a California contractor license is performed by appropriately licensed third-party contractors hired directly by the homeowner.
2. Scope of services
We perform:
- Minor home services and handyman work within the limits permitted to non-licensed providers under California Business & Professions Code §7048 (jobs where the contract price for labor and materials combined is less than $500).
- Property maintenance coordination on a retainer basis — scheduled check-ins, photo updates, repair coordination, and trusted-vendor referrals.
- Referrals to licensed third-party contractors for work that requires a California contractor license (HVAC, roofing, major electrical, structural, full general contracting, etc.). The homeowner contracts with the licensed contractor directly.
Property maintenance coordination is not property management. We do not handle leasing, rent collection, tenant placement, or any activity requiring a California real-estate broker license.
3. Estimates and pricing
- Estimates are free and provided in writing. They are valid for 30 days unless otherwise noted.
- Maintenance plan pricing is a monthly retainer for coordination services. Repair labor beyond plan inclusions is billed at the disclosed hourly rate. Materials and third-party vendor costs are passed through at cost.
- Final invoices may differ from the estimate if scope changes during the work, but we will notify you and get written approval before exceeding the estimate.
4. Payment
- Net-7 from invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- For jobs over $500 in labor + materials, a written contract from an appropriately licensed third-party contractor is required by law — Gold Coast will coordinate the referral.
- Late payments may accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate allowed by California law.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- Estimates and quotes: free, no obligation to proceed.
- Maintenance plans: cancel any time with 30 days' written notice. Unused portions of prepaid months are refunded prorated. Annual prepay credit is non-refundable after the third month.
- Scheduled jobs: cancel without charge with 48+ hours notice. Late cancellations may be billed for the technician's reserved time at the disclosed hourly rate.
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about your property and the work needed.
- Provide safe site access during scheduled visits.
- Disclose known hazards (asbestos, lead paint, structural issues, unpermitted prior work) before we begin.
- Obtain any required permits when the work requires them; we will tell you when this applies.
- Pay invoices on time per the terms above.
7. Insurance, warranty, and disclaimers
Gold Coast carries general liability insurance and will provide a current certificate on request. We stand behind our workmanship for 90 days from project completion. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, latent defects, normal wear, acts of God, or damage caused by third parties.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, services and information on this site are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid to Gold Coast in the 90 days preceding the claim.
8. Website use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or spam form entries.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its underlying systems.
- Use the site to harass, threaten, or defame anyone.
- Scrape, crawl, or reuse content for AI training, competing services, or commercial republication without written permission.
9. Marketing communications
We only send marketing emails or texts if you have explicitly opted in on a form. You can unsubscribe any time via the link in any email or by replying STOP to any text. Standard message and data rates may apply for SMS.
10. Minimum age
This site is not intended for use by anyone under 13 years of age. By using the site or submitting a form, you represent that you are at least 13.
11. Dispute resolution
- Talk first: most disputes are resolved with a phone call. Reach out before escalating.
- Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
- Venue: any unresolved dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California.
- You retain all rights under the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act and other consumer-protection laws.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted at the top of this page for at least 30 days. Continued use of the site or services after a change indicates acceptance.
